Pilates is known for “strengthening the core”, however, it is so much more than that. Pilates is an excellent exercise to retrain the body’s muscle memory to act more efficiently and create balance from head to toe. Using a combination of targeted strength and stretching techniques, it gently guides the body back to its optimal spinal health and postural alignment in order to take on the stress of our daily activities with ease.
Our Pilates instructor, Kaylie, thoughtfully designs each Pilates program to meet very specific needs of every unique patient. A lawyer/runner requires a very different program than a tennis player/computer programmer. Each of us has a unique career and distinct interests that demand different things from our bodies, therefore, each of us requires a unique exercise plan to produce results. Our Pilates Instructor is dedicated to helping her patients attain more balance, harmony and happiness in their bodies and minds so they can get on with ‘designing a life that they love’ and emphasizing the aesthetic quality of every movement. The benefits on overall health, both mind and body, inspire Kaylie to share these principles with others. Leading healthy lives and being overall athletic enthusiasts, they understand the every day demands we choose to put on our body, whether it be results from activity or the lack of it.
