- How To -
Land Softly When Jumping!
Contact the floor with the forefoot (i.e., NOT the heel or fully flat foot).
To optimize shock absorption, and reduce impact at all joints permit bending at the:
• ankles,
• knees,
• hips,
• trunk
.
PT Tips:
Use soft jumping in your preferred activities (sports such as basketball, volleyball, etc)
Principle is the same as above if you are landing on a single leg or with both legs.
